episode 40: why accomplishments won't make you a new person

If you're a listener of this podcast, obviously you're someone interested in personal growth, and likely someone with big goals!

One topic I've rarely seen addressed in the self-help arena is this - so often we focus on our goals, thinking that if we accomplish something BIG, it'll turn us into a new person.  And that, unfortunately, is not the case.  Before or after you reach a goal, you're the same person you were before - the same person with the same hangups, the same issues, the same neuroses.  Because of this, frequently we experience letdowns or even depression after reaching a goal or achieving something major, and think...is there something wrong with us?

No.

What needs to happen - while pursuing a goal, we concurrently need to be working on our INNER landscape.  This is every bit as important as shifting our outer landscape.  Listen for some tactics how to work on that inner landscape, so you can transform both YOURSELF and your life.
