Today, "trauma" is a real buzzword in the self help community online. In this episode, I address what it means to have a trauma response to new situations. Often, when we've experienced trauma, we get stuck - stuck in our past, stuck in a fight or flight response, stuck in that trauma.
Before you say, oh, I'm not a trauma survivor...everyone has experienced trauma to some degree or another. It's all relative. Now, what might seem traumatic to you might not seem the same way to a friend, but again, this is all based on what you've experienced throughout your life. What's traumatic to one person might not be to another, but we shouldn't let that force us to downplay what's happened in our own lives.
We'll explore how to overcome our common trauma responses in this episode, in order to get out of being stuck in the past, or stuck in a trauma response loop.
